CVW CleanTech Inc. (TSXV: CVW) (OTCQX: CVWFF)Â There was no fresh news about the company yesterday, but its stock was in sharp focus and ended up with gains of 13%. On April 18, CVW CleanTech Inc. announced its financial results for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2023. The company reported cash on hand of $6 million at the end of the fiscal year and noted that throughout 2023 it had been prudent with regards to its cash management. CVW CleanTech suffered a net loss of $3.7 million for the fiscal year, which worked out to $0.03 per basic and diluted share. In the fiscal year, the company also had non-cash charges to the tune of $1.6 million owing to stock-based compensation.
American Lithium Corp. (TSX-V:LI; Nasdaq:AMLI)Â Following the 9.5% rally in its stock yesterday, the company could well be one to watch out for. On March 26, American Lithium Corp. announced the appointment of a new strategic corporate advisor for its Peruvian operations in the form of Augusto Cauti, the Deputy Minister of Mines of Peru. At the time, the company announced that Cauti was a highly experienced mining executive who also served in a key governmental role from 2019 to 2020. Cauti had also been the general counsel for Pan American Silver Peru from 2006 to 2013.
First Hydrogen Corp. (TSXV: FHYD) (OTC Pink: FHYDF)Â On April 3, the company came up with an update with regards to corporate developments in the first quarter of 2024. First Hydrogen Corp. announced at the time that its hydrogen-powered FCEV (fuel cell light commercial vehicle) had completed a successful trial with WWU (Wales & West Utilities). The company noted at the time that the trial also led to the establishment of a hydrogen ecosystem partnership with regards to mobile refueling. The company also revealed that it was collaborating with a number of fleet operators to help the operators achieve the net zero goals. The stock rallied by 9% yesterday.
Century Lithium Corp. (TSXV: LCE) (OTCQX: CYDVF)Â The company announced on April 29 the results of a National Instrument 43-101 feasibility study that had been concluded at its Clayton Valley Lithium Project in Nevada. Century Lithium Corp. announced that the study recommended a three-stage production plan that would produce as much as 34,000 tons of battery-quality lithium carbonate a year. The stock was in sharp focus yesterday and climbed 8% amidst significant interest.
ShaMaran Petroleum Corp. (TSXV: SNM)Â The company had been in the news cycle on April 25 when it announced that the Annual General and Special Meeting of Shareholders would take place on June 25. ShaMaran Petroleum Corp. also stated that the meeting would begin at 8 a.m. Pacific Time. It would be held in Vancouver, Canada. The stock continued to be in sharp focus yesterday and ended up with 7% gains.
